Junking with the Wall Street Journal, Part 2!

Ki and Cammie love junking together!

Nothing like being outside on the dusty roads in pursuit of not-quite buried treasure!
On their last day in southeastern South Dakota with Wall Street Journal reporter James R. "Bob" Hagerty, they checked out Alvin's junk pile, his dog running alongside the car to greet them as they pulled in.

Cammie and Ki both agree, it was a glorious junk journey, with lots of great visuals and plenty to bring home as future Flea Market Style projects!
Here's a glimpse of what they saw!

A super-sized water bottle...

... a creaky old house (can you envision all the projects the wood could make?!)...

...appliances past their prime...

(...and the women who love them!)...

...one more for the road!...

...a gaggle of scales. They bought 28 from Alvin, whom Cammie called a sweet, softspoken junker!...

...a phone to covet ...

... a clutch of cans...

...a bevy of books...

...a jumble of junk...

... galvanized galore...

...and a bucket of beauty!

There is no picture of this: Ki says one of the her favorite things was seeing a camper with baby pheasants and chicks inside, reposing under heat lamps as they were being readied for life on the farm!

Tomorrow: More pictures!
