Junking Sans the Wall Street Journal, Part 3

With the intrepid reporter now winging his way back toward Wall Street Journal territory, Ki and Cammie's last day of junking fell into their comfortable pattern. Ki likes to do business, taking and placing calls in the car, cell service allowing, while Cammie navigates expertly.

Of course, there's always something to nosh on!

Long hours traversing southeastern South Dakota mean there is always a lot of scenery to absorb. Of this sign, we say, "we certainly hope so..."

Clearly, the bargains in SD are not limited to junking!

(Ki shot this picture for Junk Bonanza team member Irene Standa!)
Our intrepid first ladies of junk traveled through small towns...

...with deserted yet intriguing buildings!

The local color was bucolic...

... and bewitching. Think of the possibilities for that pile of pickets!

All that travel and junking meant dining at irregular hours, but Cammie noted they were able to fortify themselves with a very late afternoon lunch at a mini-mart in Avon, S.D., followed by ice cream.

A civilized repast!

Finally...
Their stomachs filled with chow,
their eyes filled with the beauty of great junk
and
their hearts filled with friendship,
Ki and Cammie called it a trip.

Can't wait to see what's next on their joint agenda!
What fun junking trips and flea marketing forays do you have scheduled?!

My home state and my home region.....would love to see the great finds you scored! I was there just a week before you and did a minimal amount of treasure hunting myself!
