Three Speckled Hens Flea: The Stuff!

We've been back from the Three Speckled Hens flea market in Paso Robles for a few days now, but the photos are keeping it alive!

Ki signed a ton of magazines and met a lot of new friends!

Me, too! Speckled Hen Susi, left, shared a full-wattage smile!

Of course, there are always a few folks for whom the lure of the hunt holds no thrall...

... but how could you not enjoy this great stuff?!

Genteel seating...

...shabbily chic display...

... gorgeous excess ...

... whimsical doll heads unearthed in Germany ...

... Jenny K and the Junk Girls sold a ton of those!

Incredible lighting fixtures from Brothers of Industry...

... and this totally cool baaaaaaa-d boy from Down Home Antiques!

Loved the 3D detailing on this four-pane window from Crimson Heart Studios ...

... and this rare square Fostoria cakeplate from Delia at Picket Fence!

Lots of industrial, shine and glass at The Shop by H. Bleu...

and Atelier de Campagne was a Francophile's dream. Everyone else's, too!

Gorgeous greenery and pots of flowers were everywhere. I neglected to snap a shot of a beautiful white rose topiary, but it set the tone for the lush botanicals throughout the grounds.

This wonderful metal plate came home with me...

... purchased from dealer Paul Granquist, who with his daughter, Karin Buffenbarger, commanded a nest of treasures on one outside aisle endcap.

At the end of the day, the Three Speckled Hens threw a great barbeque with Margas for vendors and friends.
Kathy, Susi and Kari are the flea marketing world's favorite hat trick: talented, fun and super-energetic. Winners all!

So that's the trip to Paso Robles! (Note to those who inquired: It's more or less centrally located between Los Angeles and San Francisco, in the central coastal wine country. Gorgeous terrain, dotted with wineries and cattle!)

We hope we'll be back for another show soon!

Kim

It's amazing what pulls at my heartstrings living in France....
Have a great time, it looks like that will be easy to accomplish though.....!

This looks like so much fun and the stuff is gorgeous! I am so jealous because we have nothing like this in NY. Thanks for sharing the experience with us. BTW, am loving the current issue of the mag as well!

Maureen, you might need to come visit the Junk Bonanza in Minnesota Sept. 13-15 for a good junking/flea market fix! Check out www.junkbonanza.com and the video on the home page for a taste of more good junking to come!
