Behind the Scenes at the Junk Bonanza 2010

Wow!!! 2010 Junk Bonanza has come and gone, Whew!. I had such a great time and I'm sure everyone, who attended Ki's event in Shakopee Minnesota, did as well. Come along with me as I give you a sneak peak at some of the behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

While I was busy power shopping and visiting with junking buddies, other FMS team members were busy gathering props and working on shots for the next issue. Heather was on a tight schedule so she enlisted a few talented friends to help her out. Celeste from Chaps and Ali were troopers and jumped right in. As I passed Jill Hinson in the main room, she grabbed my arm and invited me to take a peak at a photo shoot that was secretly happening on the other side of a storage room.

Jill carting in some Very Cool junk for the photo shoot

I love seeing behind-the-scenes making of a magazine. It's a real eye opener discovering all the effort it takes to put a publication like FMS together.

Ki and Heather review the shots just taken

The shot they are viewing is sure to bring a big smile to your face when you see it in the magazine.

The group taking a look at the shot just finished

Heather's traveling office just isn't as glamorous as she would like. Maybe a window would help.

Ki is a coffee fueled, powerhouse of energy and has no trouble juggling many balls at one time while wearing many hats in the process. In between coordinating vendors, checking in on the photo shoot, troubleshooting building maintenance issues, taking breaks for autograph sessions and visiting with VIP's she manages to get in a few TV appearances.

Jill with her table-scape

Jill's table-scape was completely thrifted from Arc Value Village in Minneapolis. It was absolutely beautiful and the fact that it's all from a thrift store makes it even more amazing. If you don't know Jill, she has been running the Junk Bonanza Blog and is a Blogger Extraordinaire herself. She has also been helping with some behind-the-scenes magazine stuff. You might remember her behind-the-scenes report from a recent photo shoot.

I encourage you to visit the Junk Bonanza Blog, where Jill is keeping a list of bloggers who are posting pictures and stories of their adventures. This is the 3rd Bonanza I have attended and I must say they get better every year. Can't wait till next year!!!!!

Blessings to all Junkers far and wide,
Margo

It was so much fun to spend a bit of time with you - loved your purse and your precious Texan-accent that went along with your demonstration! I don't think you posted enough pictures of me on this post (ha,ha,ha!)....
